Such damage will not be covered by manufacturer warranty. Therefore, it is highly advisable if the road condition is unsuitable or too rough, then revert to the use of PAS (Pedal Assist System) mode. PAS is when you use your feet to pedal in order to help the motor overcome resistance and or strain.
